22 Nama-Karoo B&B offers quality yet affordable accommodation, which varies from a 1 (one) Double room interconnecting to a 2 (two) single bedded room sharing a bath, which accommodates a family of four comfortably, to 2 (two) Bedrooms both ensuite, of which one has a private entrance. All rooms are supplied with tea/coffee facilities, fans and under floor heating for the Winter cold nights, within the main house. Laundry and ironing services are available on request. There is an indoor and outdoor braai or barbecue, a solar heated pool overlooking the scenic farm lands and secure on-site parking.
Douglas and Naide as a team have over fifteen years experience in the Hospitality Industry. Both have gained experience nationally & internationally. Starting at grass roots level, Naide has worked in various different hotels ranging from Three to Four star including a luxury Safari Farm. She is has gained experience in both Housekeeping and Front of House and eventually progressed her career towards management thus understanding every level of needs and expectations of guests.
After moving to the UK, Naide took the opportunity to further enhance her career academically by studying Hotel Management. Using this knowledge, Naide strives for only the best quality of service and professionalism. Simultaneously, Douglas started his varied career working in the Food and Beverage department, gaining experience in working from Four star Hotels to a luxury Safari Farm. After moving to the UK, Douglas trained and worked as a Chef, eventually gaining the position as a Head Chef. His experiences varied from Hotels to small intimate restaurants, cooking for a varied clientele ranging from celebrities to Premier Football teams.
Douglass' experience ranges from catering for large corporate functions, weddings, birthday bashes and end of year functions to fine dining, always striving in producing rosette level food. During his time Douglas furthered his career and qualifications in advanced Pastry before returning to South Africa with Naide, trading in the hectic modern lifestyle to the open arid spaces and serenity of Koekenaap.
